About epicTOURS

epicTOURS is new series of documentary films capturing the essence of popular bicycle touring routes and destinations across North America and beyond.

They are for cyclists that are active or interested in bicycling touring and contemplating riding the route of an epicTOUR production or cycling in the general region depicted by that film.

The goal of an epicTOUR film will be to give the cyclist a good idea of the challenge, possibilities and rewards of taking a particular tour route.

epicTOURS will be approximately 60 minutes in length and capture the essence and magic of this amazing national bicycle route, including:

• Sizing up the challenge - We'll show key segments of the entire route, show you the terrain, talk about it's weather and give you riding tips.
• Visiting destinations on the way - You'll see snapshots of select cities, towns and villages and get a sampling of lodging, camping, dining, and shopping options. We'll also highlight key points of interest you may want to checkout.

• Meeting other tourers - We'll tell the stories of cyclists we encounter along the way and let them share their insights and experiences.

Location sponsors are cycling friendly businesses in a specific location we choose to highlight in an epicTOUR film, such as:

• Camp grounds and parks

• Shopping
• Attractions and other points of interest

Location sponsorships are generally in the form of in-kind donations such as comp rooms or meals for our location crew. This greatly helps us defray the considerable cost of shooting on locations. In exchange for this sponsorship we will provide that business a featured position with expanded coverage for our avid audience of bicycling tourers!

In Production - Journey on the Southern Tier

Currently in production at Epic Planet is "Journey on the Southern Tier," a bicycle touring documentary highlighting the over 3,000 mile Adventure Cycling Association's Southern Tier route. This epic route travels from St. Augustine, Florida to San Diego, California and passing through Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico and Arizona along the way.
